We understand you want your card to look perfect. We spend a great amount of time on each order to make it look their most beautiful. Simply put, we are not "other companies" that simply drop your photos in an online template and print as is. We enjoy providing personal service and designing your proof for you to review, before your order goes to print. We offer expert editing on all of your photos, color changes, font changes, verse changes, etc. Simply submit your photos and specifics requests when placing your order and let us do all of the work!
How does the design process work? TOP
Ordering photo cards from us is easy and fun! First, browse our galleries and choose a design you like. Complete the order form and proceed to checkout. Once payment is received, a "thank you" page will guide you to uploading your photos. (Your order is not complete until we receive your payment and photos.)
Within two-three business days*, you will receive a proof via e-mail. Check it carefully and make any changes/corrections at that time. Lil Sweet Prince cannot be held responsible for errors after your order has gone to print.
* We receive a heavy volume of orders around the holidays. Please allow extra time to receive your proof.
What is the time frame for birthday invitations? TOP
If choosing standard shipping, we recommend placing your order 4-5 weeks before your RSVP date. This allows time for receiving your e-proof (2-3 business days), proof revision requests (which take up to 1-2 business days) printing, packaging and shipping.
If choosing expedited shipping, we recommend emailing us or contacting us via phone and ask about our current proof schedule. Please do not place your order prior to contacting us if you need a rush proof or delivery within one week.
**Please note, your photos are the most important factor in the order process. They will either delay or make the design process go smoothly. Too often we receive photos that are too small, grainy, blurry and cannot be reprinted. Please read our photo guidelines before uploading your photos.
How long before I receive my order? TOP
Your photo cards will arrive in 5-8 business days following approval of your proof. Or choose a faster shipping option and receive your cards in 2-3 business days. upon proof approval. Please allow extra time for custom invitations and international orders.
Is rush service available? TOP
Yes. We can create your design and e-mail your proof in one business day for an additional $15.
How do I upload photos, what are your photo guidlines? TOP
After checkout, you will automatically be directed to a "thank you" page that will ask you to upload your photos.
For best print quality, here are some guidelines:
1. Submit only high resolution images (minimum of 1800x 1200 pixels). Low resolution images will not print well on photo cards.2. If scanning a picture, set your scanner to a resolution of 400 ppi (pixels per inch).
3. Do not crop or edit images prior to uploading them. Professional editing is included with your order.
4. Do not upload photos from your camera phone as these images have very low resolution and will not print well.
5. Do not upload photos from an online image hosting website (e.g., Picasa, Photobucket, Shutterfly). These photos do not have enough pixels to print.Forgot to upload your photos to Lil Sweet Prince? Submit them now!

What is a proof? TOP
A proof is a low resolution mock-up of your announcement/invitation that allows you to see your card digitally before it is printed.
Look at it carefully. Are you pleased with the design? Is the spelling correct? Double- and triple check your proof! Remember, Lil Sweet Prince cannot be held responsible for mistakes once the card goes to print. Your order will only be processed after we receive final approval from you.
Is there a limit on proofs? What if I don't like my design? TOP
The cost of your order includes three sets of revisions, which may be customized however you wish within that design scheme. For example, if you have chosen the "Alex" birth announcement design and would like two photos instead of one, or want to change the colors, we can do that at no cost, up to three color/text revisions and one picture change. Additional color/text and picture changes will incur a $15.00 fee.
If after you receive your proof you want to change to a completely new design, $20 will be added to your order to cover customization of a new proof.

Can I request an additional proof of a different design? TOP
Yes, if you are undecided about the original design you ordered, you may request a proof from a different design. There will be a $20 fee to cover the design time before proceeding with the new proof.
Can I use professional photographs? TOP
Yes, but you must obtain a signed release from the photographer or studio first before we can use them. Professional photos carry with them certain copyright restrictions. Contact us if you have any questions.
Can I combine two different designs on one order? TOP
If an order is placed for two different designs, we are not able to ship them in the same package. An invoice would be emailed to you, to cover the standard shipping fee of the second design.
Also, two designs cannot be combined in order to meet the minimum order. Please note, our minimum order is required to compensate us for our design time. Thank you for your understanding.
Is there a fee for photo editing? TOP
No. We crop, smooth out blemishes, eliminate redness, and convert photos to sepia or black and white at no extra charge.
Can you customize a design to fit another occasion? (e.g., change a 1st birthday invitation to a 3rd birthday invitation) TOP
Yes! We can customize any design for any occasion free of charge. For example, if you like one of our "first birthday" invitations but your child is turning three we can customize the design for you. All opening greetings, fonts, birthday verses, and colors can be changed to your liking. We also can create dual party invitations (e.g., baptism and christening).
Combining two different designs on one card, however, costs an extra $15.
I have two different dates for my celebration, does the minimum order still apply? TOP
If you have two different dates for your event (first birthday, Sweet 16, etc) a minimum order of 28 applies to each event. We are more than happy to add any extra text to your invitation, but will not split your order for two different dates.
For example, we will not accept orders consisting of 15 invitations for your first event and 13 invitations for your second celebration. Likewise, two designs cannot be combined in order to meet the minimum order. What paper finishes do you offer? TOP
Our premium Professional Kodak Endura photo finishes are luster and metallic; cardstock finishes are Semi Gloss and Linen. To help you choose a finish, and to give you an idea of how beautiful our cards are, we can send you a sample pack for only $1.75, which includes samples of our photo papers and cards. You will be credited for the $1.75 when you place an official order. Your sample pack will arrive in 2-3 days. Order your sample pack here.
Can I order less than 30 photo cards? TOP
A minimum of 30 cards per order is required to compensate for customization and design time.
Are envelopes included in my order? TOP
Yes, premium white envelopes are included with your order.

How much is shipping? Do you ship Internationally? TOP
U.S. orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail or UPS for a flat rate of $10.50, which includes delivery confirmation.
We also ship to Australia and Canada for a flat rate of $16. Other countries, e-mail us for rates.
